About this Event
This workshop explores personal food stories and histories, the origins of everyday food staples and their cultural significance through a radical, anti-colonial lens. Drawing on selected readings and texts, participants are invited to reflect on the social, political, ecological, and cultural dimensions of food. Throughout the workshop, we use a large collaborative scroll to gather ideas, memories, responses and insights, creating a collective record of the group’s reflections.
🌀 The workshop includes:
- Opening grounding
- Collective readings, group discussion and reflections
- Creative and collaborative activities
- Exploration of food sovereignty, land and cultural heritage
- Collective contributions to a shared visual scroll
This workshop is part of Camden Inspire 2026, a weekend of creative workshops, talks and activities exploring how our communities can come together to build a fairer, healthier and more resilient future in a changing climate.
