The Bounds is the North American premiere of a genre-bending dark comedy, fresh from London's Royal Court Theatre. The play opens in rural England, 1553: two villagers at the far edge of a football match, stranded on the sidelines of both the game and a nation struggling to define itself.Desperate to matter, yet kept distant from the action, they wait – watching, speculating, and slipping deeper into uncertainty. The Bounds becomes a haunting meditation on power and the uneasy pull of forces beyond our control. What happens when we’re left watching as history unfolds without us?
