Moving beyond abstract calls for change, The Blueprint asks one of the most urgent and difficult questions facing the left: if capitalism is failing, what could a workable socialist alternative actually look like? Its answer is a democratic system in which workers control production while competitive markets and state planning coexist—neither capitalism nor the centralized planning models of the past.
Drawing on the history of socialist experiments and decades of debate about markets, planning, ownership, and democracy, the book confronts past failures without abandoning the possibility of a radically different future. This event will explore the authors’ practical vision for an economy that socializes capital, democratizes workplaces, restores the commons, and places markets in the service of human needs.
