🌟18 hours, no power. Find out what you're missing before the ish hits the fan.
Friday night you run it at home. Lights off, wifi off, everything switched off. That's when you find out the generator hasn't started since 2020, the flashlight batteries corroded in a drawer, and the refill on your Medic*tion takes four days.
Saturday morning we come together in Homewood and talk about what actually happened in your house.
What to expect:
Six stations — Water, Food, Energy, Communications, Medical, Transportation. Real gear on the table, your questions answered, a checklist card from each one to take home.
Cold Class — hands-on firearms safety with inert training firearms. No live ammunition in the building, no noise, no pressure. Never held one? This is where you find out.
The mapping exercise — name the three to five people you must have covered, put them on the wall, and find out whose people live near yours. Someone you met an hour ago turns out to live four doors from your mother.
Because gear runs out. Systems don't. A generator gives you a weekend. Nine people who know their roles give you as long as it takes. That's why we build Nests — nine people, five roles, built on the National African American Gun Association's model. Your household, your neighbors, the people in the room with you.
We're not teaching you to hunker down alone. We're building blocks that can take care of themselves.
Optional afternoon range block — handgun, shotgun and rifle with certified range officers. First-timers paired one-on-one. $49, limited space.
