About this Event
Come along and celebrate the launch of The Big Draw Festival 2026 with us at the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration, the UK's only public arts organisation dedicated to illustration.
On Saturday 3rd October, we’ll be taking over the Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration with a jam-packed and joyful programme of artist-led workshops, drop-in activities, gallery tours and more inspired by this year's Festival theme, Make a Mark.
Whether you're a lifelong artist, an enthusiastic doodler or haven't picked up a pencil in years, we’d love to see you there. You'll find plenty of opportunities throughout the day to experiment, play and create with an exciting line-up of artists, illustrators, and creative facilitators.
With a mix of free drop-in activities, bookable workshops and exhibition tours, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you want to contribute to a giant collaborative artwork, experiment with different materials, or just make some marks, the day is all about having fun and using mark-making as a form of inquiry and expression - you’ll find plenty of ways to get involved!
There will be free drop-in activities taking place throughout the day, so everyone is welcome to get involved - more bookable workshops will be announced soon with their own event listing, so do keep an eye out and feel free to follow our Eventbrite to be the first to hear about them.
The event is made possible by the generous support of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Trust.
