We've been digging through some old videos from around 2002, and it brought back a flood of memories from the good old days. Questionable fashion choices, terrible haircuts, legendary nights out, and the feeling that we had all the time in the world.It did get us wondering, though - what on earth is everyone up to these days?
Back then, Alnwick was the centre of the universe. We all knew everyone, everyone knew our business, and somehow we still managed to have some absolutely brilliant nights out. It feels like it's about time we did it all over again.
So, if you were born in 1986, 1987 or 1988, consider this your invitation. (Anyone is welcome, to be fair, so these years are very loose. Bring your partner, if you like!)
Get the babysitter booked. Dig out your dancing shoes. And if you're teetotal, no problem - these days they even make alcohol-free lager that tastes almost convincing.
The plan is simple: meet up, catch up, laugh about the old days, realise we're all a lot older than we think we are, and create a few new memories along the way.
The starting pub is still to be decided, so we'll put it to a vote (assuming more than three people are interested). But we will go to many, I am sure. Maybe a spot of Karaoke at the Fleece? Ending the evening with a face full of Pizza Royale's finest fayre.
And yes, the event is on a Friday night. That decision was made entirely because we're all at the age where nobody has a spare Saturday any more.
It's been far too long.
