THE BATAK CULTURAL LANDSCAPE 🇮🇩Discover the living heritage of the Batak people of North Sumatra through film, stories, dialogue and a hands-on cultural experience at MAS Antwerp.
The afternoon begins with Sisingamangaraja XII: The Last Batak King from Bakkara, a short film by ADFA exploring the final chapter of Sisingamangaraja XII’s resistance against Dutch colonial forces and the removal of objects associated with him — some of which eventually became part of Antwerp’s museum collection.
