About this Event
Join us for a powerful and intimate storytelling and music performance co-created with Scottish Prisons, following one young man’s journey through the criminal justice system. Blending narrative and live acoustic music, this 30-minute performance offers a moving insight into personal experience, resilience, and the realities of justice involvement.
The performance will be introduced by a short talk from Creative Expression coordinator Sam Rowe, outlining the creative process behind the work and its development within the REALITIES consortium. Following the performance, audiences are invited to stay for a Q&A featuring frontline Connect to Community staff and an individual with lived experience of the justice system, offering deeper reflection and discussion.
Performed by Sam Rowe and musician Ellyn Oliver, this session highlights the impact of creative expression as a tool for storytelling, connection, and change, while celebrating the achievements of the project to date.
This session will take place in the Sanctuary at Greyfriars Charteris Centre.
