Chicago indie-rock quintet The Back Alley is a modern patchwork of musicians whose carefree spirit and undeniable chemistry have fueled their wildly entertaining live shows since their inception in 2022. Having made a name for themselves in the Midwest indie-rock scene with their upbeat, guitar-driven rock, the band recently retreated to the quietness of Michigan to create their debut album, Back at Home, out January 22, 2027. What materialized was a new sound for The Back Alley –– one that softens the edges a bit, delivering a somewhat folky yet still upbeat vibe that remains so very in the pocket of The Back Alley. Back at Home tells a cohesive story of searching for something while overlooking what's right in front of you, ultimately offering a worthy reminder to treasure what you already have. The Band Solstice
The Band Solstice, formed in 2019 by childhood friends, has grown from a summer-solstice idea into a rising indie-rock force known for their energetic shows and evolving sound. The group channels influences from Kings of Leon, Dawes, Mt. Joy, and Dr. Dog into a style all their own. Frontman Marty Gee delivers powerful, emotive vocals, anchored by the tight rhythm from drummer Grayson Strader and bassist Maddox Frazier. Jacob Greene adds depth and lush keyboard textures, while Jackson Frazier’s expressive guitar work brings soaring riffs and melodic solos that define the band’s signature feel.
