About this Event
In this full day, two-part workshop, we will begin the day learning techniques for creating painted papers using a selection of Japanese papers.
Once dry, we will incorporate them into works of 3-dimensional art using a variety of Paper Engineering techniques. Finished pieces may be used as stand-alone paper sculptures or as pop up greeting cards.
All essential materials and tools will be provided. Participants are asked to bring:
- a notebook and pen
- an apron (or dress to get messy)
- your lunch*
If you have small tools you prefer to bring from home such as scissors, Exacto-style knife, bone folder, please feel free to do so.
*There is a fridge and some small appliances available for you to use.
