Introduction to the Art of Playing and Mastering the Gong
## Gong Master Course – Module 1
Enter the world of the gong and begin a journey into sound, meditation, healing, and conscious presence.
This two-day introductory module offers a practical and experiential foundation in the art of gong playing. You will learn about the history and different types of gongs, explore fundamental playing techniques, and experience how the gong can be used in meditation, yoga, sound healing, and ceremonial practice.
The course is designed both for those who are completely new to the gong and for practitioners who want to establish a more conscious and structured foundation for their playing.
Throughout the weekend, you will have the opportunity to explore and play several gongs and overtone instruments. You will receive direct guidance in how to approach the instrument, how to use different mallets, how to create variation in tone and dynamics, and how to listen to the gong rather than simply produce sound.
A central aspect of the training is learning to care for yourself as an instrument.
To work responsibly with sound, it is necessary to cultivate both receptivity and stability. We will therefore explore how to regulate and strengthen the nervous system, enter a meditative state, expand awareness, and develop the capacity to hold space for individuals and groups.
Meditation and selected Kundalini Yoga practices will support this process.
The highlight of the module is a **Gong Bath and Sound Journey on Saturday evening**, where you will directly experience the effect of different gongs and overtone instruments.
### During the module, you will explore

• Different types of gongs and their qualities
