A two-day ancestral healing journey over Samhain to release inherited patterns, reconnect with your lineage and reclaim ancestral strengthAbout this Event
🌑 Why This Gathering, Why Now?
As the nights draw in and we approach Samhain, the veil between the physical world and the spirit world grows thin. This can be a powerful time to turn inward.
The lineage you carry shapes you, but it does not need to define who you are. We are all deeply affected by our ancestral lineage, whether that is through genetics, inherited trauma, or their unfinished experiences. Yet, we have all been gifted with free will.
Your soul is here for its own unique purpose. Through your own empowered choices, you have the honour and power to heal the lineage for those who came before you, freeing both yourself and descendants who may follow.
Look around at the state of our world. The world we live in has been shaped by colonialism, capitalism and unequal systems of power, and their impact is not felt equally. The histories of exploitation, displacement and extraction continue to shape lives and communities across the world today. Ancestral work asks us to look not only at what we carry through our families, but at the beliefs, values and systems we have inherited, and to question what we may be perpetuating without even realising it.
We’ll explore what it means to decolonise our minds: to question ideas about power, wealth, success, ownership, hierarchy and scarcity, and to open ourselves to other ways of relating to one another and the living world. Rather than looking through the lense of shame or guilt, instead throigh: awareness, choice and action. Because we each have agency... We may not be able to change everything, but we can choose what we participate in, what we challenge, what we support, and what we carry forward.
This weekend is an intentionally held, sacred sanctuary designed to help you break the prominent, unconscious patterns that have been quietly controlling your life. The weekend offers real-world, practical magic to help transform ancestral pain into unshakeable empowerment.
Is This You? Typical Patterns We Will Meet
Do you find yourself carrying heavy emotions or repeating behaviours you don't fully understand..... and wonder where they came from?
Sometimes the patterns we live with can feel older than us. During the weekend, we will gently explore some of the core patterns that can shape how we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us:
Feeling “Too Much” - absorbing the emotional weight of others, feeling hypervigilant, or struggling to hold your own boundaries.
Scarcity & Money - an underlying fear that there will never be enough, difficulty feeling safe around money, or patterns of holding on, overworking or deprivation.
Guilt & Shame - feeling unworthy, apologising for taking up space, or carrying responsibility for everyone else.
The Protection Pattern - becoming overwhelmed, defensive or shut down when you feel unsafe, and finding yourself caught in familiar relational cycles.
A Message received from a previous Heart Rites Workshop attendee:
"What a massive swing in energy. I feel like I have been able to let go of a lot of things that have happened throughout my life and forgiven myself and gave myself permission to let go and move forward.
Last night was the biggest shift. I found myself on a journey working backwards in my life starting from 2026 to the age of 3 and all events that changed my life was let go.
I am very happy today and looking forward to the life in front of me."
How the Weekend Will Unfold
Saturday 31st October: Confronting and Releasing the Patterns
The first day is entirely focused on identifying the traits engrained within your DNA that may be preventing your soul from fulfilling its destiny. Through active guided practices, ceremony, and rituals, you will release what you are finally ready to transmute.
- 09:30 | Arrival & Sacred Grounding: Doors open. Registration, tea, and settling into the space.
- 10:00 | Introduction & Sacred Sharing: Meeting your fellow participants and establishing our individual and shared intention.
- 11:00 | Opening Ceremony: Calling in the directions and casting a fierce, protective boundary around our working space.
- 11:30 | 45-Minute Guided Trance Experience: A deep somatic journey to help you clearly differentiate your own true will from the inherited DNA of your ancestors.
- 12:30 | Lunch Break
- 13:30 | Medicine Walk to the Burial Chamber: We will walk to the ancient land to pay respect to those who have passed and give offerings. Working directly with the native bluestone, you will discover which specific parts of yourself are ready to be worked with.
- 15:30 | Comfort Break & Tea
- 16:00 | Guided Group Grief Ritual: A safe container to physically and emotionally discharge the trapped sorrow of your lineage.
- 17:30 | Somatic Writing Workshop: Harnessing your inner voice to rewrite the ancestral script.
- 18:00 | Traditional Samhain Dinner: Nourishing our bodies and honouring the season together.
- 19:00 – 20:30 | Saturday Night Healing Ritual: Kate will perform an intensive group healing ceremony and share direct messages from the spirits who work with her.
- 20:30 – 21:00 | Optional Tea Ceremony with dream herbs, thoughtfully blended by Kate, this specific blend was taught by the spirits who taught Kate about this specific herbal blend through her dreams. The use of these herbs provides you with an opportunity to connect with the messages of your ancestors through your dreams on the eve of Samhain
Sunday 1st November: Reclaiming the Power & Building the Sanctuary
The second day shifts completely into the light, focusing on the positive aspects of yourself and your wellspring of ancestral strength.
- 09:30 | Soft Arrival & Morning Reflection: Re-entering the container with morning tea.
- 10:00 | 30-Minute Visualisation Trance: Accessing deep brainwave states to identify the radiant gifts, resilience, and talents you have inherited.

- 12:00 | Silent Animistic Walk: Connecting deeply with the local spirits of the land to receive clear guidance on your path forward.
- 13:00 | Lunch Break
- 14:00 | Crafting Your Ritual Doll: You will be guided through the hands-on process of crafting a personal ritual doll, tying the empowered threads directly onto it. This doll serves as a physical visual anchor to place on your altar at home, representing the confidence, self-reliance, and safety you are actively calling into your life.
- 16:00 | Closing Ceremony: Integrating the weekend's medicine, expressing gratitude to the land and ancestors, and dropping the ceremonial container.
- 17:00 | Departures

About Your Guide: Kate Freyja
The spirits called me to these sacred ways at a very young age, but I ignored that calling for many years to avoid the intense 'blessing and curse' that spirit work inherently brings. To escape my path's true calling, I turned to addiction with alcohol and drugs. After years of deep suffering from complex trauma, PTSD, and physical illness, I was forced to turn my life around. I had to listen. I began my journey with vajrayana Buddhism and deep spirituality in 2008, fully committing by 2016 when I asked the spirits to guide me to a human teacher.
Since 2019, I have been practicing and studying traditional shamanism as a formal apprentice under the strict mentorship and regular supervision of my teacher. Through him, I have received teachings shared traditionally from Indigenous North American Medicine Ways, ceremonial methods from traditional Mongolian and Himalayan shamanism, and Core Shamanic practices. I have been granted formal empowerments and initiations into these traditional practices, ensuring that the space I hold for you is backed by a living, protective lineage... not a weekend workshop.
My Ancestral Tapestry
I walk this path, carrying the bloodlines of Ireland, Norway, Germany, Spain, Wales, England, and Jewish ancestry. I know intimately what it means to carry a heavy, fragmented and conflicting lineage. I have had to navigate the exact same ghosts, gifts, and historical weights that we will be meeting this weekend. I walk beside you as a fellow traveler who has walked through the fire of complex trauma and emerged on the other side, ready to help you steer your own ship.
Please Note on the Nature of This Space
This weekend is a space for personal exploration and healing. It is not a training course to become a practicing shaman, nor an initiation into mediumship or spirit possession.
Kate holds deep respect for traditional spirit work and for the living lineages within which such practices are taught. The practices offered during this weekend are carefully held invitations into ceremony, trance, ancestral connection and personal healing - not a qualification or initiation into spiritual practice.
You do not need to be a practitioner or have previous experience. You simply need to arrive with curiosity, respect and a willingness to explore your own experience.
The Sacred Location: Brynberian & the Preseli Hills
Our weekend is held in Brynberian, nestled in the wild and ancient landscape of the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
This is a landscape rich in prehistoric history. The Preselis are the geological source of the famous bluestones used at Stonehenge, with research identifying local outcrops including Carn Goedog and Craig Rhos-y-felin as sources for stones transported to Wiltshire thousands of years ago.
The surrounding landscape is scattered with evidence of generations who lived, gathered, travelled, buried their dead and made meaning here, from Neolithic tombs and stone monuments to Bronze Age burial mounds. Nearby Pentre Ifan, one of Wales' most remarkable Neolithic chambered tombs, has stood for more than 5,000 years.
During our outdoor medicine walks, we will spend time moving through this remarkable landscape, visiting ancient monuments and connecting with the land through walking, observation, offering and ritual.
We approach the landscape with reverence, while recognising the distinction between what archaeology can tell us about the past and the spiritual meanings we may experience here today.
For this weekend, the Preseli Hills become more than a backdrop. They offer a place to slow down, listen, remember and explore our relationship with those who came before us, and with what we may choose to carry forward.
We don't need to know exactly what our ancestors believed in order to feel the presence shared within the inner landscape they left behind.
