About this Event
A hands-on studio session built around the twelve drivers of creative process from Alexandra Beller's new book, The Anatomy of Art: Unlocking the Creative Process for Theater and Dance (Bloomsbury, 2026). Part discussion, part studio work, the class moves through several of the book's core questions — the kind built to be run in a room, not just read — opening fresh entry points into how work actually gets made. Grounded in Beller's decades as a choreographer, performer (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company), and movement educator, this is for choreographers and performers thinking about their own process, and just as welcoming to anyone curious about creative process itself. Copies of the book will be available to purchase and sign.
Offered in conjunction with Small Plates Choreography Festival.
