The Academy’s annual Legends Awards returns November 22 for a night of celebration and giving thanks at the iconic Castro Theatre. The Legends Awards honors extraordinary people whose contributions have shaped San Francisco’s LGBTQ+ community and whose stories deserve a permanent place in its history. This year, we celebrate our allies by presenting Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi with the evening’s highest honor. She is joined by community award recipients Mark Leno, Gael Lala-Chávez, and Angel Adeyoha.
An incredible lineup of special guests, led by Sister Roma and fashion designer Zac Posen, will also include Music Director Russell Deason, Donna Sachet, Honey Davenport, and performances by Eduardo González-Maldonado and Leanne Borghesi.
Join us for a night of giving thanks to the leaders, builders, artists, advocates, and allies who have made our community what it is today—and continue to shape what comes next. This year we are excited to include a new award presented by the San Francisco Bay Times, The Beacon Award.
