About this Event
The 43 Group: Jewish Veterans, Fascism and a Forgotten Chapter of British History
Join novelist Susie Gordon at West Hampstead Library for an author talk exploring the remarkable true story behind the 43 Group and its fight against fascism in post-war Britain.
In the years following the Second World War, Jewish ex-servicemen and women came together to confront Britain's fascists. Their story is a significant but often overlooked chapter of British history.
During this event, Susie Gordon will discuss the history behind her book, A Monster in the Ash, and explore the people, events and struggles connected to this remarkable period.
Come along to learn more about the 43 Group, discover a lesser-known part of Britain's past and take part in a conversation about the history behind Susie's work.
The author talk will be followed by a Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and join the discussion.
Books will be available to buy at the event.
