Adults: $15, Kids 6-12: $5, Kids 5 and Under: Free, Family Maximum: $20
Welcome back to year two of the Golden Ladle Soup Contest! Join the Ely Community Center and the Ely Folk School in this autumnal event where local restaurants compete for the title of "Best Soup in Ely". Guests will get to taste test entries from participating restaurants (with a little bread from Brainstorm Bakers and dessert made by Ely Community Resource to accompany it) and cast one vote each for their favorite. The restaurant with the most votes will take home this year's Golden Ladle Trophy!
This year we're offering two seatings so everyone has a little more room to enjoy the evening;
At 5:00 PM, there will be reserved seating for those who register through our website (pay upon arrival)
At 6:30 PM, the Community Center will be available for open seating (no reservation required)
Admission includes a sample from every participating restaurant, bread from Brainstorm, brownies made by Ely Community Resource, and one vote for your favorite soup.
✨Local potters will be selling handmade bowls at the entry to this event. Purchase a bowl and your Golden Ladle admission is free!
Voting will close at 7:30 PM and the 2026 Golden Ladle winner will be announced at 8:00 PM.
