About this Event
Located on the country’s most important waterway, The Thames Estuary is the UK’s number one growth opportunity. The Thames Estuary offers unique advantages to businesses, thanks to its proximity to London, its excellent transport links, and the Thames itself – a thriving hub for import and export.
Jointly hosted by Queen Mary University London and the Thames Estuary Growth Board, this one-day conference aims to welcome leaders and investors from the private, public and third sector to explore how to leverage and maximise the region’s unique assets and unparalleled location. With keynotes, plenaries and breakout sessions led by some of the region’s and nation’s foremost leaders, Thames Estuary: Local Growth, Global Opportunity will offer unparalleled opportunities for delegates to network and create the foundation for future partnerships and collaborations to transform the area. We look forward to welcoming policymakers, business leaders, academics, community partners, and investors to coalesce our thinking around the four themes of Green energy and hydrogen; Creative economies; Housing, growth and infrastructure; and Ports and Maritimes.
Now is the time to turn the potential of The Thames Estuary into good, green growth for the local area and national economy.
