About this Event

WHY

Apple has ties to the exploitation of resources and people from the Congo, as well as Israel, which is of course actively committing gen0cide against Palestinian people - As well as attacking and 0ccupying parts of Lebanon and Syria.

In 2024, Apple received a formal cease and desist notice from lawyers of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, whose government accuses apple of purchasing and using illegally exploited materials extracted from the country using slave labor, which includes the abuse and exploitation of Congolese children. Despite this, Apple has continued to use minerals sourced from slave labor in the Congo. In 2025, Reuters reported that the International Rights Advocates filed a lawsuit against Apple over their use of Congo's minerals.

In January of 2026, Apple acquired the Israeli AI startup Q.ai for roughly $1.6-2 billion. The Silicon Valley Giant reportedly hired dozens of former Israeli spies in mid-2025, and these same soldiers worked on technology that made the gen0cide of Palestinian people possible.

Additionally, Apple employees have accused Apple of listing its offices in 0ccupied Jerusalem as being in Israel, rather than in 0ccupied Palestinian territory - Despite the International Court of Justice's July 2024 ruling that Israel's 0ccupation of the territory is unlawful.

Apple even goes further in their support for Israel, which is present even after the international consensus that Israel's seige on Palestine is a genocide; according to the United Nations, Amnesty International, and international genocide studies scholars. Employees have noted that Apple's Benevity donation-matching program has matched employee's financial contributions - about $34.5 million - to illegal West Bank settlement-linked groups, as well as Friends of the IDF, a nonprofit dedicated to the wellbeing of active Israeli troops serving in the seige of Palestine, or other countries in the area that are being attacked and 0ccupied by Israel, including Lebanon. Apple also pays their Israeli employees in the IOF 100% of their base salary while they commit war crimes.

Apple has decided that instead of publicly addressing human rights concerns, they will continue to ignore complaints from customers and the general public! That is WHY we are protesting their support for these injustices.

More information on Apple's complicity in gen0cide and war crimes can be found on the website applesagainstapartheid.com . There, one can find educational materials, as well as flyers, posters, and PDFs to print.

The organization is unaffiliated with this particular event, though the event is informed by, and organized as a result of content shared by Apples Against Apartheid.
