About this Event
Enter the strange and wonderful world of milk teeth, adult teeth and a third set of teeth in this experimental drawing workshop led by artist Klaire Doyle.
Explore teeth through a playful series of drawing exercises and references, moving between historical artworks, music and sound, poetry, memory and imagination.
No previous drawing experience is needed. Klaire will share experimental tips, tricks and approaches to help loosen up your drawing practice and encourage you to play. Come to enjoy the energy of making alongside others, experiment with materials, ideas and be curious.
You will need to bring:
- A surface (large or small) to create on, such as paper, sketchbook, cardboard, an iPad, etc.
- Your choice of drawing materials. Basic or advanced materials are welcome, and all practical activities will be adaptable to whatever you choose to work with.
- Limited and basic drawing materials will also be provided.

------
This workshop is inspired by Klaire’s Shambles triptych installation and her toothy research into memory, growth, and the teeth lost, retained, and imagined.
The workshop proudly accompanies Shambles, an exhibition by Klaire Doyle, Anna FC Smith and Matthew Wood, the artist team behind the phenomenally successful 2024 Seeing Things exhibition, reunited for a new trio exhibition, exploring mythology, ritual, body and the state.
