About this Event
Tech Intersections is a one-day conference created by and for women of color in technology. Since its founding, it has provided space for leadership development, technical learning, and community building, centering the brilliance and innovation of Black and Brown women, including trans women and gender-expansive people who align with our mission.
The 2027 conference will take place on Saturday, January 23, at Northeastern University’s Oakland campus in Oakland, CA.
This year’s theme, Still We Rise: Power and Possibility in the Age of AI, speaks to a moment of rapid change. As AI reshapes the tech industry and our communities, women of color must be part of the conversation, shaping the technologies being built and the futures they create. Tech Intersections brings us together to share knowledge, strengthen our networks, and imagine what’s possible when we build on our own terms.
Attendees can choose from 30 sessions across five areas:
- Technical skills
- Tech entrepreneurship and venture capital
- Career growth and leadership
- Wellness and collective care
- Social impact and justice in tech
Tickets are free. Space is limited to 250 attendees, creating an intimate setting for learning and connection.
We'll have food trucks highlighting the best foods Oakland has to serve, we'll have free headshots, art making spaces, booths to connect with community organizations and much more.
If you’ve never attended Tech Intersections, we welcome you.
Let's start the new year together!
