About this Event
Embodied vinyasa flow to warm up and feel alive this winter.
Teasaich (teasachadh), meaning heat, warm up!
Warm up in the darkness and depths of winter together through an embodied vinyasa flow practice and story time with Scottish folk tales.
Embodied vinyasa to attune to a felt sense of wholeness, relationship, freedom and ease with all that is. Rooted in nature and guided with love and play. Shared through a balance of meaningful movement and resourcing rest. Prioritising intuition, feeling, being and sensing. Weaving asana, meditation, visualisation, philosophy and pranayama. With lots of space to explore, get curious and to make the practice your own. Come as you are, to just be and to trust what wants to move through you.
It's a potent time of year to connect with land, myth and legend as we descend into winter in deep listening. Sharing Scottish folk tales with valuable lessons from sea, sky and land.
Beginners welcome, no experience needed.
Mats and props provided. Comfy clothing and layers are great!
Looking forward to welcoming you in the lovely Koko Studio in Glasgow city centre.

Testimonies:
Gemma is not only a natural gifted yoga teacher but also one who is very in tune with her pupils and their abilities. She has a graceful fluid movement style and a calm approach to teaching which immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel both comfortable and secure in your practise. She has a wonderful way of conveying each session, for example setting out at the start as to what equipment we may need, what area of the body we may be focussing on, coupled with clear instructions and demonstrations around what movements we will be making.. Every session ends too soon . I would therefore have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Gemma to those who are looking for an empathetic, professional and intuitive qualified yoga teacher.
Ruth
Never having tried yoga before, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I started. The way Gemma leads her sessions made it accessible and enjoyable right from the first session. She explains clearly and gives options that might work for different people, body types, and experience levels. Some sessions have focused on different parts of the body and it has felt really good to focus my awareness on areas that have been neglected – I particularly enjoyed the work we did on feet. Gemma strikes a great balance with enough repetition to learn and improve but plenty of variety to keep things interesting. I always come away feeling relaxed and refreshed. Thank you Gemma!
