The final morning of the annual Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs will feature a panel discussion, "Teaching History Through the Stories of Early Wisconsin Connections to China"

Mikki Maddox, Necedah School District teacher, discussing her research into such topics as Japanese POWs at Camp McCoy, and a "Chinese Colony" agricultural project in 1919 near Tomah.
Judd Kinzley, UW-Madison History Professor, presenting classes and seminars that have been offered at UW-Madison on how to use archival research to write academic papers about early students from China.
Anlin Yang, UW-Madison Libraries, presenting digitalization and public website work underway at UW-Madison Libraries to make information about early Chinese students more widely available.
