Each year the Otūmoetai Kāhui celebrate Kapa Haka in our community with Te Rā Rēhia. Join our kura as we join together at Matua School for the 2026 event.All schools in the Ōtūmoetai Area, including Bellevue Primary, Bethlehem School, Bethlehem College Primary, Matua Primary, Pillans Point School, Tauranga Adventist School, Te Kura o Manunui, Te Wharekura o Mauao, Te Puna School, Ōtūmoetai Primary, Ōtūmoetai Intermediate, Ōtūmoetai College, & Nga Kohanga Reo o Tauranga Moana will be performing at set times throughout the day.
The pōhiri for all schools & manuhiri starts at 9.00am, meeting at the school entrance on Clivedene Street. Nau mai, haere mai e te whānau!
Food stalls will be available for kai and drink purchases throughout the day. The first performance is at 9:50am and karakia whakamutunga will be at approximately 2.30pm.
