Join us for the first annual TCB Community Dinner with keynote speaker, Todd Payette
About this Event

Introducing the first annual TCB Communinty Dinner. Each year we will host an event that benefits our community and invite an inspirational keynote speaker, that either comes from our communiity and goes on to do great things or comes to our community to do great things.

This year, proceeds from the event will go towards the Winnipeg South Minor Baseball Association's Charleswood Place Rejuvenation Project. This project will expand Charleswood Place's existing three baseball diamonds to six variously sized diamonds, including two turfed fields, a first in Manitoba. The variety of diamond sizes will enable more families of all age groups to utilize and enjoy the facility.

The evening will proceed with the following program:

  • 6:00 PM: Doors Open | Passed hors d'oeuvres and drinks
  • 6:25 PM: Welcome & Introductions | Remarks by Lori Vassart, President of Winnipeg South Minor Baseball
  • 6:30 PM: Family-Style Dinner prepared by the Chefs of Trans Canada Brewing featuring a harvest theme with beef crown rib roast carving
  • 7:30 PM: Todd Payette introduction and keynote address
  • 8:30 PM Dessert & Coffee Service | Guests free to mingle for remainder of the evening

About our keynote speaker:

Todd Payette's remarkable journey is one of resilience perserverance and the power of choosing purpose over adversity. Born and raised in the Elmwood area of Winnipeg, he has been a Provincial and Regional Bodybuilding Champion, Canadian Heavyweight Masters Champion, Serbian Open Champion, three-time World Bodybuilding Championships Finalist and five-time Mr. Universe Finalist. After a traumatic family experience at just six years old, he began a lifelong quest to become bigger, faster and stronger, using physical strength as a shield. Through his bestselling memoir and documentary "Shoulder Down", Todd inspires audiences around the world with a message of hope, determination and personal transformation. He reminds us we all have the strength to keep moving forward.
