Birmingham, Alabama's Taylor Hollingsworth has always resisted easy categorization. Asked to define his music, he struggled – a little bit folk, a touch of blues, a dash of rock 'n' roll, but not quite fitting neatly into any single box. Eventually, he coined the phrase “Folk n’ Roll” to describe his sound. Now, he's proudly claiming that sound with his latest album, aptly titled "Folk n' Roll." Fans of JJ Cale, Mississippi John Hurt, Chuck Berry, Richard Thompson, Jonathan Richman, and John Prine will find much delight in Hollingsworth's blend of timeless influences.Touring on his latest album, Taylor will be debuting Pensacola at From the Ground Up Community Garden. This will be a BYOB and lawn chair kind of concert, so pack a picnic basket and come down to the garden for a delightful sunset concert.
Gates open at 3 pm, and music will likely start close to 3:30 pm with local Pensacola singer-songwriter Katie Dineen opening.
$15 tickets can be bought here ahead of time, or you can pay at the gate with cash or Venmo.
There is covering in the garden, so this concert is rain or shine.
