In this workshop, you will explore:
- The true meaning of Yoga: the union of Shiva and Shakti
Yog, Yug, the Holy Trinity and their feminine companions, and the Avatars, the cosmic framework of yogic philosophy. The five acts of Source and how they sustain and dissolve creation
- Tattva Bodha: the knowledge of the 36 Tattvas and the Gunas—a complete map from matter to pure awareness
Nirvana Shatakam: chanting the recognition of your own true nature
- No prior background required. This is a foundational course for yoga practitioners, teachers, and anyone ready to go beyond the surface.
- The map is not the destination. But you cannot reach what you cannot see.
In the ancient traditions of India, the deepest truths were often revealed through dialogue—a seeker asking, a master answering.
One such dialogue begins with the Goddess Parvati turning to Lord Shiva and asking:
"What is this delight-filled universe into which we find ourselves born?
What is this mysterious awareness shimmering everywhere within it?
And this 'matter' out of which our forms are made - what are these dancing particles of condensed radiance?"
"How may I know this mystery and enter it more deeply?"
These are not the questions of a beginner. They are the questions of a seeker who has tasted something beyond the surface and wants to know its source. And what Shiva revealed to her became one of the most profound maps of consciousness ever given—a knowledge so complete that it traces every layer of reality, from the dirt beneath your feet to the awareness that witnesses it all.
That knowledge is called Tattva Bodha. And the map it reveals, the 36 Tattvas, is the foundation upon which all of Yoga rests.
Here is what makes this map extraordinary:
It begins with Earth (the ground you stand on) and rises, layer by layer, through water, fire, air, and space. Through the senses that perceive them. Through the mind that thinks, the ego that claims, the intellect that discerns.
Through the limitations that make you feel separate, incomplete, bound by time. And it does not stop there. It continues—past the individual soul, past nature itself—all the way to Pure Consciousness: the Śiva within you that has never been touched by any of it.
This is not theory. This is you.
Every thought you've ever had. Every mood that moves through you. Every moment of "I am this" and "I want that." The 36 Tattvas show you exactly where you stand in the architecture of existence—and where the doorway to freedom lies.
And that doorway is Yoga itself—the union of Shiva (Pure Consciousness) and Shakti (Dynamic Energy). Not a posture. Not a stretch. The recognition of what you have always been.
This workshop traces that entire journey. We begin with the cosmic architecture—Yog, Yug, the Holy Trinity and their feminine companions, and the Avatars—the framework that reveals how time moves, how creation unfolds, and how consciousness descends into form.
We dive deep into Tattva Bodha, where the 36 Tattvas and the Gunas become your map. And we conclude with Nirvana Shatakam—the soaring composition of Adi Shankara—whose chanting seals what you've understood into the very marrow of your being.
The workshop along with the recommended reading of the book by your instructor and author of "Awakening The Self" will open a new horizon on the spiritual and philosophical foundations of Yoga.
