Tarptautinis simpoziumas „Bauhaus in/and the Baltics“, skirtas parodos „vladas švipas : pušalotas > bauhaus > kaunas > new york“ atidarymui ir Bauhauso palikimo Baltijos šalyse aptarimui.

> > Vlado Švipo parodos kuratorė ir knygos autorė dr. Marija Drėmaitė (Vilniaus universitetas) pristatys architekto kūrybą.
> > Dr. Anke Blümm iš Maxo Weberio centro Erfurte skaitys pranešimą „A Sacred Place”. Six Yiddish Bauhaus students from Vilne, Wilno, Wilna, Vilnius“.
> > Dr. Julia Secklehner iš Masaryko universiteto ir Estijos dailės akademijos skaitys pranešimą „Between the Bauhaus and the Baltics: myths of modernism and Ida Kerkovius as a textile artist“.
Po pristatymų vyks diskusija. Ją moderuos NDG kuratorė Gabrielė Radzevičiūtė.

The international symposium "Bauhaus in/and the Baltics" is dedicated to the opening of the exhibition "vladas švipas: pušalotas > bauhaus > kaunas > new york", and the legacy of the Bauhaus in the Baltic States.
9 October, Friday, from 3:00 to 4.30 p.m. at the NDG auditorium

> > Dr. Marija Drėmaitė (Vilnius University), curator of the exhibition will present architect Vladas Švipas.
> > Dr. Anke Blümm, Coordinator of the Research Group "Religion and Urbanity" at Max Weber Centre, Erfurt will give a talk titled “A Sacred Place”. Six Yiddish Bauhaus students from Vilne, Wilno, Wilna, Vilnius".
> > Dr. Julia Secklehner from Masaryk University in Brno and the Estonian Academy of Arts will share her research "Between the Bauhaus and the Baltics: myths of modernism and Ida Kerkovius as a textile artist".
The presentations will be followed by a roundtable discussion, moderated by Gabrielė Radzevičiūtė, curator at the National Gallery of Art in Vilnius.

🆓 Participation is open to all and free of charge.
🌐The symposium will be held in English.
