About this Event
Equinox Tarot Walk:
An autumnal evening drift - or 'derive' - with the tarot around Sandwich, walking the historic streets, guided by gestures and signs in the cards we draw.
Led by writer, walking artist and psychogeographer .
What to expect:
- Welcome refreshments of teas, coffee and home-baked goodies at Sandwich Medieval Centre.
- Easy town-centre terrain, involving some narrow lanes.
- An informal introduction to historical card designs and the tarot's connection to Kent.
- A lighthearted psychogeographical wander led by the cards, reading and responding to the environment.
- A tiny tarot tract to walk with and take home.
- Finishing at Creepy Moon, with an interactive demonstration of 'uncluttered' tarot card reading' and a celebratory seasonal beverage. 10% discount on tarot and oracle decks in the shop for ticket holders.
Tickets are very limited and must be booked in advance. Details of locations and logistics will be sent to ticket holders shortly before the event.
This is a walk outside, subject to the elements. Please dress appropriately for the weather with sensible footwear.
Suitable for ages 16+.
NB: The walk will go ahead unless weather is so severe as to be unsafe. Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the host.
