TANGO SHOW BY LUCÍA SILVA
An intimate evening of tango in the heart of New York City

Join us at the Argentine Consulate for an evening celebrating the emotion, poetry, and enduring appeal of tango with Argentine singer and actress Lucía Silva.

Bringing together her experience in music and theater, Lucía invites audiences to connect with the stories and feelings at the heart of this distinctly Argentine art form. Set in the intimate surroundings of the Consulate, the performance offers a chance to enjoy a little piece of Argentina in New York—whether tango is a lifelong passion or a new discovery.

About the artist

Lucía Silva is an Argentine actress, singer, writer, and educator with professional training and experience in music, musical theater, and arts education.

She began her academic studies in Psychology and later pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Music at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA). She continued her professional training at the Julio Bocca–Ricky Pashkus Musical Theater School.

A major milestone in her career was joining the cast of Master Class (Terrence McNally), directed by Agustín Alezzo and starring Norma Aleandro, Argentina’s most celebrated actress and Academy Award winner for The Official Story. She toured nationally and internationally for four years, performing in theaters across Argentina and Europe.

In 2019, she created and performed the one-woman cabaret Por Culpa del 14G, which received the Estrella de Mar Award for Best Musical Show and Best Integral Production, and was nominated for best performer at the Premios Hugo Federal (Musical Theatre Awards).

In parallel with her artistic career, Lucía has an extensive teaching practice. She is the creator and head professor of Jazz Singing II and III at the Adolfo Ávalos School of Art and is the Head of the Performing Arts Department at Northern Hills Bilingual School.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Content Management from Universidad Austral, specializing in the design, production, and dissemination of artistic and cultural content.

Lucía Silva currently works as a performer, creator, and educator, combining artistic practice, and academic training.
