About this Event

Defying the status quo and queering relationships on our own can be overwhelming. After spending the last few years focused on online programming, the PolyaMarla team wanted to create a monthly space to step away from screens, and build non-monogamous community IRL.

As facilitators, we bring a therapeutic background and over four decades of combined experience practicing non-monogamy. Whether you’ve never practiced non-monogamy before, have been at it for years, or anything in between, we welcome your perspective. Let’s share non-judgmental space in the form of casual conversation amongst peers. Bring your curiosity, a cozy sweater, and let’s spill the hottest tea.

About your facilitators:

Marla (they/them) is a Queer, gender-defiant, therapist, educator, and author who specializes in non-monogamous relationships. They have been practising polyamory for over 20 years with Adam, and most recently published the book . You can catch their vibe on social media @polyamarla.

Adam (he/him) is a bi/Queer creative wizard who has been practicing polyamory and producing community-centered events at the intersections of culture, media, and education since 2005. In 2017, he co-founded EMBRACE: Toronto’s longest-running Queer & Trans Open Mic. From 2018–2019, he co-founded LovePlus Collective with Marla — a monthly non-monogamy peer support group, and the spiritual predecessor to Talk Tea.

* Please note: while Marla is a therapist, this support group is NOT therapy or a replacement for therapy.

** This is an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, and inclusive space for all folx identifying under the 2SLGBTQIAP+ umbrella.

  • Bampot House is not a scent-free space.
