Get the perfect fit for your favorite jeans! Join our hands-on sewing workshop led by Danesha Anglin, and learn how to professionally hem your jeans and keep the original hem and give your pants a polished, custom finish.
Step into the Mood Fabrics Atlanta Showroom for an engaging, hands-on sewing session! In this interactive class, you will gain the confidence to tackle hems on your own.
What You’ll Do
- Learn how to properly measure and mark the desired hem length.
- Practice folding, pressing, pinning, and stitching clean, professional-looking hems.
- Learn how to shorten your jeans and maintain the original hem.
- Gain confidence using your sewing machine for simple clothing alterations.
What to Bring
Please bring one pair of jeans for practice that you would like to hem to class. It can be a pair that no longer fits or even a thrifted pair as we will be practicing and you will be able to apply what you learn on your good jeans at home! We recommend choosing a pair that fits well through the waist and hips and only needs to be lengthened (must have excess fabric at the hem turned under) or shortened. All necessary sewing tools, machines, and standard matching threads will be provided for the workshop but feel free to bring your own thread for an exact match. You can also bring a denim needle for your machine if you will be bringing your own.
If you would like to purchase additional supplies, those items may be available for purchase in the showroom on the day of the class. Your ticket reservation converts to a $5 credit to use toward your purchase.
Class Registration & Cancellation Policy
Refunds for the ticket price are available for cancellations made up to 24 hours before the event start time. Please note that Eventbrite’s service fees are non-refundable, so you will receive a partial refund equal to the ticket amount minus those fees.
