Welcome to Tables 🌿

A community for immigrant, newcomer, and bicultural women and 2SLGBTQ+ people to develop leadership skills, work on passion projects, and build meaningful connections.

Pull up a chair at Tables every other Monday evening after work!

Tables is a nonprofit, community-led leadership development program for immigrant, newcomer, and bicultural women and 2SLGBTQ+ people in Metro Vancouver.

Through relaxed, interactive gatherings, we’re creating a welcoming space to connect, learn, grow, and navigate the challenges of building a life and career in Canada—together.

🕔 5:00–7:30 PM | Monday evenings

August 31 • September 21 • October 5 • October 19 • November 2 • November 16

Agenda

5:00–5:30 PM — Arrivals, refreshments, welcoming each other, and settling in

5:30–6:00 PM — Opening activities, icebreakers, an introduction to the day’s workshop, what you hope to learn, and what inspires you

6:00–7:20 PM — Workshop and community coworking time. On days without a workshop, bring something you’d like to work on, such as your résumé, job applications, schoolwork, personal projects, or career goals. Work independently or connect with others for feedback, ideas, and support.

7:20–7:30 PM — Demos, surveys, and wrap-up. Showcase what you’ve been working on and complete a brief post-session survey.

7:30–7:45 PM — Cleanup and thanking volunteers

Snacks will be provided. We also encourage you to bring something to share, potluck-style! Doors open at 5:00 PM.

Whether you’re new to Canada, looking to grow your community, or simply want a welcoming place to connect and learn, there’s a seat for you at Tables. 💛
