About The Austin Séance
The Austin Séance is a creative and experimental collaboration devoted to the history and practice of American séances and Spiritualism. Led by and , The Austin Séance has operated from its home base in Central Texas since 2016. Its work includes séance demonstrations in museums and other public institutions, occult workshops, occult lectures, and academic seminars. The Austin Séance also operates an and publishes a quarterly journal. has been featured in Texas Monthly, NPR’s Texas Standard radio program, TV broadcasts and more.
About KOOP Radio and Graveside Service
(pronounced koh-op as in “co-op”) is an Austin-based community radio statiion that is owned and operated by its members. KOOP airs more than 60 unique, locally-produced programs every week, including the fabulous program in which the death aniversaries of musicians, actors, and celebrities are commemorated through music, information and good ol’ fashioned fun. Graveside Service has been on KOOP’s schedule since January 1998. Its host, Mr Harris, is a trained librarian with a life-long fascination for graveyards.
