The Tampa Jazz Club and The Suncoast Jazz Festival are proud to present exciting vocalist SYNIA CARROLL, with ‘Harmony in Hope: A Jazz Journey’ on Sunday, November 3 at 3:00. These Sunday afternoon concerts are in the Mainstage Theatre at HCC/Ybor City, and are part of the HCC Visual & Performing Arts Series.
Based in Sarasota, Synia has captivated listeners with her evocative and soulful performances, including a Tribute to Nina Simone titled ‘Nina on My Mind,’ and her latest cd, ‘Water Is My Song,’ released nationally this year. ‘Harmony in Hope’ incorporates songs from those projects and other jazz and samba favorites, celebrating the challenges life brings, through a prism of hope and joy.
And Synia has a stellar band for the occasion, featuring DANIEL JORDAN, sax & flute; CHRIS NEVILLE, piano; CHUCK STEVENS, guitar; GRANT CUTHBERTSON, bass; and TONY ANTONIO, drums.
