About this Event
About the event
Join us at Aloft by Marriott Harlem for an evening celebrating art, culture, and community through the work of Marie Martine Lamarre, a Haitian-American textile artist and founder of sympleeTuft.
Discover original textile artwork, featuring one-of-a-kind pieces handcrafted with yarn and inspired by Black culture, music, identity, and everyday life. Experience the color, texture, and detail of tufted art up close while enjoying a relaxed evening in the heart of Harlem.
Meet the artist, explore the collection, connect with fellow art lovers, and enjoy complimentary refreshments throughout the evening. Whether you’re an art collector, curious about textile and fiber art, or simply looking for a free NYC art event, everyone is welcome.
- When: Friday, November 6, 2026, from 6–9 PM
- Where: WXYZ Lounge at Aloft by Marriott Harlem
- RSVP: Required
Please note: This is an art exhibition and viewing experience, not a tufting workshop or hands-on class. If you can’t make opening night, the artwork will remain on display at Aloft Harlem throughout November.
