Every wanted to try Sword Fighting like a knight! Now you can! Come along and test your mettle in this 1hr Sword Fighting Taster workshops.
We will cover the basics of footwork, parries and attacks leaving you ready to fight on the battlefield or defend the castle walls.
Great for fans of Pirates of the Caribbean, Game of Thrones or books like Lord of the Rings, Fourth Wing or A Court of Thorns and Roses.
Run by Swashbuckling Cornwall (SC) these are short, high-energy workshops giving you an introduction to the world of swordplay.
SC specialise in Stage/Screen Combat is the sort of fighting you see on stage and screen and is a way of creating dramatic scenes of conflict without anyone getting hurt, though choregraphed movements. Its origins are ancient, but the ‘modern’ version comes from the Elizabethan era.
Suitable for 18+ No previous experience required, but to get the most from the session some experience is suggested.

This is a physical workshop as such a basic level of fitness and mobility is required to take part.
