Her haunting new novel, Night Babies, already described as a modern classic of the genre, transports readers to the Brecon Beacons, where an artist's retreat to a remote chapel after a devastating flood awakens ancient fears, unsettling visions and secrets buried deep within the land itself.
Joining her is Whitby's own master of supernatural fiction, Amanda Mason, whose chilling new novel, The Dark, returns to the Yorkshire coast during the blackouts of the 1970s, when every power cut leaves more than darkness lurking beyond the window.
