We're taking the creativity, conversations, and joy from our decade-long annual type exhibition and bringing those minds, ideas, and vibes to the stage.
Join us for talks about all facets of type from some of the most creative and talented minds in the industry. Design experts and speakers will share their projects, ideas, and stories about type for a day of discussion and inspiration.
The room will be filled with designers, lettering artists, illustrators, educators, dreamers, thinkers, researchers, entrepreneurs, and most importantly, you.

Coffee & Food
We're know how long conference days can feel, so we're bringing you coffee, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.
A coffee bar will be available during morning registration, lunch will be served at midday, and snacks will be provided in the afternoon.
Please indicate any allergies or dietary restrictions when you purchase your ticket and we'll do our best to accomodate.
The Venue
Swash Con will be held at the historic 918 Bathurst Centre for Culture, Arts, Media and Education. Built in the 1950s as a Buddhist Temple, the venue now hosts many events in Toronto's arts and culture scene.

The venue is easy to reach by transit. Head to Bathurst subway station and walk ~10 minutes north on Bathurst, or take the number 7 Bathurst bus two stops.
This venue is unfortunately not completely accessible, with multiple sets of stairs to enter. Part of our rental fee goes towards upgrades to the space to improve accessibility.
About Swash & Serif Festival
Swash & Serif has been bringing people together to celebrate typography and lettering in Toronto since 2014.
Through our events and showcases, we encourage designers and artists to push the limits of the designed word and explore new ideas.
In 2026, to celebrate our tenth edition, we've decided to up our game: we're evolving our annual exhibition into a full fledged typography festival. Join us for a month of gatherings, discussions, and even battles with your design friends and community.
