Our next roundtable topic, ‘Growth Decisions: When to Expand — and When Not To’, explores one of the most important — and often underestimated — decisions franchisees face as their businesses mature. Second locations, larger territories, or additional sites can unlock exciting opportunities for growth. But expansion can also magnify operational challenges, increase financial pressure, and stretch leadership capacity if the timing isn’t right.
This facilitated roundtable provides a practical, peer-led space to have honest conversations about growth — when it truly makes sense, when caution is needed, and how franchisees can avoid turning success into unnecessary risk.
Together, we’ll share real experiences from across the franchising community and unpack the strategic considerations that support sustainable expansion, stronger leadership capability, and long-term business performance.
What We’ll Cover:
• Signs your business is genuinely ready to expand
• Common warning signals that growth may be happening too soon
• Financial, operational, and people considerations before adding locations or territory
• Managing risk while pursuing opportunity
• Knowing when maintaining stability may be the smarter decision
This session is ideal for franchisees considering additional locations or territory, franchisors supporting network growth, and leaders wanting to make confident, strategic decisions about what comes next.
Who Should Attend:
Franchisees, Franchisors, CEOs, Franchise Managers, Business Development Managers, and anyone involved in franchise growth planning, operations, or performance management.
