About this Event
The Sundial Salon is a grassroots arts fundraiser with an aim of bringing the Lower Mainland creative community together to help fund an artist’s next project.
All ticket proceeds from the evening will go toward a recording microgrant for a Lower Mainland musical artist, giving them the opportunity to professionally record a project at Sundial Studios.
Inspired by the long history of artistic salons, we’re transforming a private home—in true salon fashion—into an intimate gathering place for artists and art lovers. Throughout the evening, you’ll encounter work from local creatives, all sharing their work under one roof.
As artists ourselves, we have experienced the frustration in the gap between an idea and it’s realization due to funding. While we deeply respect governmental funding and it’s important role in our arts ecosystem, grants are limited. So, this is our attempt to create a small, community-driven funding cycle of our own.
Whether you’re an artist yourself or someone who loves being around art, we welcome you! Come have a drink, look around, talk to someone you haven’t met before and dream with us :)
