Fall has rolled in to town and it's time for our OCTOBER Sunday Funday Tea Dance. This event will benefit Missed Path Sanctuary.Missed Path Sanctuary is a forever home for horses who, for one reason or another, needed a different path…but what happens there has become about much more than rescuing horses.
At Missed Path, horses are given the time, safety and space to become themselves again…and then something pretty remarkable happens. They begin creating that same kind of space for people.
Through programs like Reading with Rescues, children build confidence by reading to miniature horses who don’t care if they stumble over a word. Through Forever Seen, those same little horses visit assisted living and nursing communities, creating moments of connection with people who can sometimes feel forgotten or disconnected from the world around them. The sanctuary also brings people together through community events, Yoga with Horses, guided equine experiences and other programs designed around a pretty simple idea…sometimes being in the presence of another living being can help us reconnect with ourselves and with each other.
