About this Event
A follow on from last months An Introduction to Suicide Prevention, this workshop builds on the themes explored in the previous workshop and moves into Safety planning for those at risk.
This session will take people through: -
· What is a safety plan and why is it important?
· The steps to completing a safety plan
· Sources of support, including the Prevent Suicide North East App
· Your own safety plan – looking after yourself
What is The Nook?
The Nook offers drop-in mental health support in a safe, stigma-free and non-clinical environment – without the need for an appointment.
Walk-in support hubs where anyone can visit to speak about mental health, The Nooks will provide visitors with access to support for themselves, or people they care about.
Our first Nooks are now open in Glasgow’s Merchant City and in Marischal Square, Aberdeen. Our skilled and compassionate staff are ready to support you, seven days a week.
