ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Singer-songwriter, producer, and creator. I've been making my own music for 10 years. My music is a mix of genres, including reggaeton, R&B , rock, hip-hop and pop.
I’m a Pop/R&B artist from Long Island, I love to add touches of funk and rock to create a sound that feels both nostalgic and fresh. I grew up in a house with 15 relatives, and being surrounded by so many different personalities and musical tastes helped shape how I move across genres and connect with people.
I’m heavily inspired by artists like Bruno Mars, Jon Bellion, Ne-Yo, Musiq Soulchild, and Boyz II Men, which comes through in my storytelling, harmonies, and overall feel.
When I perform, my goal is to lift people’s spirits and create a space where everyone feels good and safe. I love getting the whole room involved and helping people forget about their day-to-day for a while—just living in the moment through the music.
Joey started out as an actor studying musical theater at Tisch School of the Arts but fell out of love with that world. She joined an indie rock band as a background vocalist, which is where she met her friend who is now her keys player, and it is during this time she started writing music of her own. She quit the band, embarked on her own solo music career, and has been writing and releasing music ever since. Her music is blend of genres, but predominantly landing in the pop/rock world with some Americana and funk mixed in.
