About this Event
Is your creature calling to you? Do you find yourself daydreaming of a magical world? Or maybe you love animals! Come learn how to sew your very own cozy animal pillow using colorful fabrics, lace, buttons, paint, and charms of your choosing. All materials will be provided and are sourced second hand, making your project all the more unique!
This class will be geared toward adults.
Artist Bio:
Rooted in a fascination with material history, Ollie Scaffidi is a midwestern fiber artist that seeks meaningful connection through the transformation of found objects. Ollie works primarily by piecing together reclaimed textiles, vintage novelties, and charms of the past.
Experience Level:
This class is geared towards begginer sewers, but all experience levels are welcome!
What’s Provided:
- All materials proved but if you have something you'd like to add to your project feel free to bring it along!
- You will be guided through hand sewing or machine sewing your animal pillow
- Participants can expect to go home with a completed stuffed animal pillow
Getting There/Where to Park:
Humboldt - Free street parking is available on the street outside of The WasteShed, but spots may be limited so please plan accordingly. The Kimball bus stops right outside our doors! Please let us know if you need wheelchair access.
Masking/Covid Policy (Pick whichever one suits this event the best.)
