About this Event
I am inviting you to join me for Studio Sessions 02: Impressions in Clay — a relaxed contemporary clay workshop exploring low relief, pattern, texture, carving and impressed surfaces through air-dry clay.
I will guide you through a series of material experiments using clay, simple tools, fabrics and found objects, before you develop your own original low-relief artwork.
Rather than following a set design, you will be encouraged to experiment with surface, repetition, marks and personal imagery (optional), developing a piece that reflects your own approach and ideas.
No previous experience is needed. The session is designed to be accessible, exploratory and open to different ways of making, with individual guidance throughout.

Demonstration + Material Experiments
Info: I will begin with a short demonstration of imprinting, carving, texture and mark-making using clay tools, fabrics and found materials. You will then have time to try the techniques yourself before developing your own piece.

Info: Develop your own original low-relief clay artwork, with individual guidance throughout.
