When We Broke: A Body Full of Echoes by Menna Maher
Inspired by the life of the Syrian soprano Ruba Al-Jamal, this performance is an intimate journey through sound, memory, loss, and belonging. Blending theater, live music, movement, and song, it poses the question: what remains of us when we lose the very things that once defined who we were?
Stuck !N by Ziad Salem (Wallace)
A performance art piece that engages with the body as a space bearing silent memories, shaped by systems of control. The work explores the physical and emotional repercussions of discipline and constraint, specifically through experiences of submission.
Egyptian dancer and choreographer Shaymaa Shoukry and Spanish theater practitioner and dramaturg Ferran Dordal mentored the artists in the development of their performances.
These performances were produced within the framework of "Return" Production Lab by Hewar Company for independent Theater and Performing Arts.
This project is funded by the European Union in collaboration with EUNIC Egypt and Instituto Cervantes El Cairo.

قامت الراقصة ومصممة الرقصات المصرية شيماء شكري والفنان
المسرحي والدراماتورج الإسباني فيران دوردال بتدريب الفنانين لتطوير عروضهم.
تم إنتاج هذه العروض ضمن إطار مختبر الإنتاج "عودة" لـ شركة حوار للمسرح المستقل والفنون الأدائية.
هذا المشروع ممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي بالتعاون مع اتحاد المعاهد الثقافية الأوروبية – يونيك وبدعم من معهد ثربانتس القاهرة.
