Strength & Balance Class for Older Adults – Winter 2026
My Strength & Balance Class for Older Adults runs every Monday and Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm in Owen Sound at the Heritage Place Mall & Shopping Centre, located near the Food Basics entrance — around the bend on your right. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early.
This class is designed specifically for older adults who want to build strength safely while improving balance and core stability.
What to Expect
- Seated, full-body strength training using resistance bands and small exercise balls
- 10–15 minutes of standing exercises focused on improving balance and toning the core
- Beginner-friendly instruction with an emphasis on safety and proper technique
- Progressive movements so participants can see measurable results
Resistance bands and small balls are available for purchase at class ($6–$9 if needed).

Instructor
Classes are led by Sally MacDonald, RHEP, a Registered Health & Exercise Practitioner and ASFA Certified Seniors Fitness Instructor, specializing in safe fitness programming for older adults.
