Join us for a street renaming ceremony honoring the life and legacy of Octavius V. Catto, a civil rights leader, educator, athlete, and voting rights advocate whose work helped shape Philadelphia’s history.
Presented by Councilmember Mark Squilla and It’s the Little Things Foundation as part of Voter Education Week, this ceremony will celebrate Catto’s enduring commitment to justice, equality, civic participation, and the power of the vote.
The program will include remarks from community leaders, faith leaders, elected officials, and partners, along with reflections on Catto’s legacy and why voter education remains essential today.
