About this Event
Street Art & Identity Walk + Creative Workshop at Allegra Westbrooks Library 🎨
Join us for a hands-on experience of art, identity, and community in West End! Take a guided mural walk and end with a Street Art Journaling creative workshop.
🎨 What to Expect
We’ll kick things off with a 45-minute guided mural walk led by Chantal Kennedy and Jasiatic Usher, exploring three murals along Historia Beatties Ford Road. Learn about the artists, stories, and cultural influences behind the murals that shape this historic area. While we are walking, we will gather texture imprints and stamp them in a journal to create with later.
After the walk, we’ll head back to the library for a hands-on Creative Workshop led by artist Marquia Humphries. Participants will receive guidance and instruction on creative journaling and perhaps use some of the unique stamped images from our walk.
All supplies are included—just bring your creativity!
