We are SO EXCITED for our first-ever Storywalk! Our heritage buildings provide the perfect setting for creepy stories just in time for the season.
Local island authors will be presenting dramatic readings of their creepy coastal tales from BC-based horror and dark fantasy anthology The Kindread Coast (Black Cat Books, 2025) every half hour from 5-7pm in our seasonally decorated Heritage buildings. Costumes encouraged!
Anthologies and books by mid/north island author and Bear West Books publisher Kim Bannerman, mid/north island author K.A. Wiggins, mid-island author Nicola Kapron, and south island author and Black Cat Books publisher Shanon Sinn will be available for purchase and signing.
RECOMMENDED FOR ADULTS (or horror-loving kids/teens with parental permission)! NOT a picture book storywalk for littles (take them to Sunday’s scavenger hunt instead!) Anthology selections were written for general audiences (adults), with teens (14+) in mind.
Admission is by donation. Come early to grab food from the food trucks, visit the Mystic Market vendors, and get into the spirit of the season!
